AniMoby Introduces New Screen Capture Tool

The makers of AniMoby for iPads, iPhones, and Android Tablets recently developed and released a new, free screen-capturing tool for Windows operating systems.

The tool, called AniMoby SC, simplifies the screen-capturing process for Windows users by enabling them to grab/save selected parts of the screen from just a simple stroke of the keyboard.

AniMoby SC is a great tool for those who use the AniMoby app on their tablets or smartphones, as it allows for the easy capture of images from the screen that later can be used in AniMoby-created lessons, projects, and tutorials.

A quick tutorial on how to use AniMoby SC is below:

1.) Go to the website www.animoby.com

2). Click onto install on Windows (the icon is in the red circle in the screen shot above) and select your destination folder. In this tutorial, we used Dropbox, so AniMoby SC is saved within the folder entitled Dropbox. Within this folder, you can find the AniMoby SC folder - as seen below.

3.) An icon was created on your desktop:

4.) When opening Animoby SC, you can either use it in its original mode by clicking OK or you can set new preferences, including your own shortcut commands, if you desire.

5.) Once a notification appears indicating it’s active, you can start using it.

6.) To take a screenshot, simply type the desired commands that are described below. If you only want to capture a certain part of the screen, enter the Ctrl + Shift + 2 command and wait until the cursor turns into a cross. Click and drag selecting the desired area. When you release, the screen capture is automatically saved in the destination folder you set.

7.) To capture the entire screen, type Ctrl + Shift + 3 command and the content will be automatically saved to the destination folder set.

8.) There is another command that allows you to capture a certain part of the screen (Ctrl + Shift + 4), but it turns into a window and allows you to save in a different folder of your choice, if you prefer.

9.) After capturing all the screens, import them from the Dropbox to Animoby iPad and/or Animoby iPhone and create your project. Have fun!

AniMoby Officially Released to Google Play Store

Appsis Tecnologia announced yesterday the official release of edtech app AniMoby to the Google Play Store for Android-powered tablets.

Only AniMoby Standard (the free version) is available in the Google Play Store, according to Kaio Soares, AniMoby's head Android developer.

AniMoby has already received great success with their version for iPads that is available in the iTunes App Store. The app has been downloaded by more than 25,000 users from throughout the world.

"I have heard from thousands of teachers, from Thailand to Texas, who have used AniMoby as part of a successful integration of technology to their classroom," Koyanagi said. "Technology has changed so much in our lives already, and it is finally making headways into education - making the way we teach and learn more effective and efficient, so we can do more with less time.

"We know our release to the Google Play Store will only encourage more edtech integration," Koyanagi added. "We are very happy to be part of this education revolution."

The education-focused app provides an interactive whiteboard, sound/voice recording capabilities, and access to a variety of design tools (paint, draw, insert photos and text, etc.).

These tools allow teachers to use the app to make lessons that can be uploaded to the AniMoby website, and from there, students can view the lessons anytime/anywhere with any computer or mobile device with internet access.

AniMoby features a large education-focused clip art library designed to help teachers make lessons. Using AniMoby, PowerPoint presentations can be uploaded to the app where voice and design tools can be added to the slides (find out how by clicking here).

AniMoby is the perfect app for teachers who are interested in using class flipping techniques, and the AniMoby staff is currently busy introducing the class flip methodology to teachers in Brazil.

App Reviewer Gives AniMoby Overwhelming Praise

Once again, AniMoby received overwhelming praise from an application review site. This time, it came from the site "Thats Appsolutely Genius" at www.thatsappsolutelygenius.com. The site focuses on finding and reviewing technology-involved education resources.

The site reviewed AniMoby Pro and was impressed with the many features. Below is a short excerpt from the blog post.

"Educators interested in adopting a flipped classroom model should keep reading this post. AniMoby is a powerful app with endless possibilities for teaching and learning. Think of this as a blank canvas that allows you to create presentations or any subjects and any grade level... Although there are many iPad apps available for creating lessons, AniMoby is one of the most intuitive lesson creation and presentation tools that could inspire any teacher o flip their classroom and create classroom environments conducive to 21st Century learning."

With more than 25,000 downloads in its first few weeks in the iTunes App Store, and planned releases for Android Tablets and iPhones - AniMoby is amongst the top EdTech apps in the market. Check it out, and download the Pro version here.

Despite Delays, AniMoby Still Plans Release for Android Tablets

The makers of AniMoby announced several weeks ago that the application would be released for Android Tablets in the Google Play Store in the month of October. However, programming obstacles arose which prevented the scheduled release. AniMoby programmers now schedule the release for mid-November.

"Concerning the delays, we apologize to all the people who were waiting for the release," said Fernando Koyanagi, CEO of Appsis Tecnologia (makers of AniMoby). "However, I am nearly one hundred percent sure we will be in the Google Play Store in a few more days. The wait won't be long."

Chief Android Programmer at Appsis, Kaio Soares, agreed with Koyanagi, and stated the issues that prevented the release will be easily overcome.

"We wanted the app to undergo another round of tests - all part of an effort to ensure the app was functioning in the most optimal manner possible," said Soares. "I am just as excited as anybody to get this app in the Google Play Store, but I won't be satisfied if it's not perfect. And I certainly know the customers feel the same way."

Soares stated he has a high level of confidence that the app will be functioning in this "optimal manner" upon release a few weeks from now.

Koyanagi is anxious to get the app in the Android market, which will allow more teachers around the world to access AniMoby and take advantage of its many educational benefits, such as flipping classes.

The version of the app for iPads recorded more than 25,000 downloads in its first few weeks in the iTunes App Store.

"With a rapid pace, AniMoby became one of the hottest selling, most talked about EdTech apps in the iTunes App Store," said Koyanagi. "The app is helping thousands of teachers to flip class for the first time. The app is enhancing education worldwide, and we hope our release to the Google Play Store continues this process."

AniMoby hits the 3,000 mark for Facebook fans

Just a few days ago, AniMoby received its 3,000th Facebook fan and is taking a hefty piece of the market share in several countries in the iTunes App Store category of "Education Apps," according to Distimo.com

AniMoby's success started in the schools of Brazil but is now being used by teachers at numerous countries around the world. The app allows teachers to make interactive lessons/presentations with an iPad while recording voice and using a variety of design tools (draw, paint, text, highlight, etc.) - and then send to students who can view them anytime, anywhere on any electronic device with internet connection.

This turns the iPad into a mobile classroom, and removes the age-old neccesity of needing a physical classroom to teach lessons.

Keep up with the education pack, and download AniMoby from iTunes app store by clicking here. AniMoby is scheduled to hit the Google Play Store in October.

AniMoby Plans Launch to Google Play Store in October

The final efforts of making AniMoby available for tablets in the Google Play Store are underway with a plan for release in early October.

Currently, AniMoby is only available for iPads, but the application will greatly expand their market by becoming available in the Google Play Store. Now, Android holds 62.6 percent of market share, while Apple only holds 32.5 percent. In the same quarter a year ago, Apple held 60.3 percent, and Google held just 38 percent.

"We have already heard great testimonials from teachers, students, and parents who have used AniMoby to enhance the learning process and educational experience," said Fernando Koyanagi, Appsis Tecnologia CEO, the company that developed AniMoby. "We want to increase the number of people around-the-world who have access to AniMoby, so even more can take advantage of the educational benefits. So for us, it is a logical decision to enter the vastly-expanding Android market."

AniMoby is an application that revolutionizes teaching by turning tablets into mobile classrooms. Using the application, teachers can make lessons by using an interactive whiteboard that includes voice recording capabilities and a plethora of design tools.

Teachers can then send these recordings to students who can watch them anytime, anywhere from any computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access. Click here to see an example of a lesson.

Add Voice to Your Powerpoint Presentations w/AniMoby

Sending powerpoint slides over e-mail is a common practice when individuals cannot get together for a meeting. Almost always missing from these presentations is the use of VOICE - which adds a dose of interaction and entertainment into dull, soundless slideshows.

Using AniMoby, people can now convert powerpoint presentations from a PC to AniMoby on an iPad. This enables users to add voice to their powerpoint presentations before sending to their students, business partners, clients, customers, etc. - who can view the interactive slides anywhere/anytime from any PC, tablet, or smart phone.

Converting a powerpoint presentation to AniMoby takes a few SIMPLE steps:
1. On an open powerpoint presentation on a PC, go to file, and then to print
2. Choose the option to print as a PDF file, the file will now be in PDF form
3. Choose where to save the PDF file
4. Attach the PDF file to an e-mail
5. Go to your e-mail on the iPad (make sure you are logged into AniMoby), open the attached PDF file from the email, and click on option "Open in AniMoby" within the PDF
7. AniMoby will open, when it does - under text that says "Current selection:," tap the PDF option
8. The PDF file should be in the list below
9. Give the project a name, and tap the green check-mark on the top-right of the prompt
10. The slideshow will openanimoby.com

*This can also be accomplished through Dropbox. To do so, link AniMoby account with Dropbox (Go to AniMoby settings to do this), and send PDF file to Dropbox account. BE SURE to place file inside the AniMoby folder within the Applications Folder when saving within Dropbox.

If you need any help, the AniMoby staff is always here for you. Contact us at AniMoby@gmail.com.

AniMoby Receives High Ratings, Featured on Front Page of App Review Site

AniMoby is being featured today as the front page story on app review website Feedmyapp.com. The website reviewed AniMoby, and fortunately, had some tremendous remarks about our app.

An excerpt from the review is below:

"The app provides a wonderful and simple opportunity to turn your iPad into a learning module par excellence and adds something that most similar apps don't have...vocal capabilities. The standard free edition of the app includes enough features to get you excited at the prospect of teaching your students or instructing your team via their iPad but it's worth looking at the Pro version to for the depth of tools the app delivers. The iPad has changed everything over the last few years and now Animoby gives it the chance to become so much more than an entertainment vehicle."

The AniMoby staff is humbled (but not surprised) by receiving such a positive review. The AniMoby app has capabilities to revolutionize teaching by turning the tablet into a mobile classroom - and we've just gotten started. Expect the app to cross-over to several other platforms and add even more creative tools and elements.

Teachers can add pictures and design a presentation with ease on the interactive whiteboard, and use and record voice to explain what they are doing.
